I'm a pretty soft touch and seem to laugh a lot of the time. I like undiscovered places, hiking, old books and movies, long bike rides on mostly flat land, animals ( dogs and cats in reality and others theoretically), and colors in all forms, particularly floral.
I'm an editor in my work life, a writer in my other life, a good friend in my other, other life, a budding (barely) buddhist in my in my other...... well, you get the idea. But almost of those lives would be better with someone to love.
My Ideal Person:
Humor is essential. And a good person -- warm and open and caring. Reasonably happy with himself/his life (but not so happy that he doesn't want a girlfriend). Other criteria, I am sure, but really I am willing to be surprised.
The last great book I read Hmm... Books I have recently attempted to foist on friends and family are: The Bookshop by Penelope Fitzgerald (the best combination of charming and dark), Random Family, The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak (supposed to be for teens but really great for anyone) and any Julius Knipfl book. But I don’t really make people read things. I just suggest. Two times at most. Ok if I REALLY love something maybe three times. But I do know reading is one of those things that people have to do in their own time
My most humbling moment I seem to be very gullible and have been convinced of some strange things in my life (i.e. that Bob Marley was on the dating game) . This can get to be pretty humiliating.
The best or worst lie I've ever told really too complicated and far fetched to go into here but it was in 8th grade and involved diabetes (made up) , father, a new friend, a bowl of kool aid and 8th grade graduation. It pretty much taught me never to lie again.
In my bedroom one will find... a friendly mess and a bed overlooking a garden if you want to ignore the mess.
(This just in. mess has been cleaned. SO MUCH better this way!)
